“For where your treasure is, there you’ll find your heart as well.” – Matthew 6:21
There are many things that we treasure in this life – possessions, memories and even dreams.
But beyond all these things, the greatest treasure to be found is sometimes closer to you than you realise. For me, I found that to be my brothers and my family back at home.
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:17
It’s easy to forget, what and who’s important to you. Not until you’ve been stripped away of the convenience of meeting up, talking face-to-face and hanging out late at each other’s places do you realise, how much they really mean to you. They shape your world, the way you look at life and they walk through the darkest and hardest times with you.
I’m thankful for my brothers, for always loving me as I am, for never giving up on me when I had and for always pointing me back to God and His love. Though I do not always express my gratitude and appreciation for them, they already know deep in their hearts how much we mean to one another.
Till we see each other, soon. May we continue loving Christ and making much of Him, together, apart. 🙂
