“You thought you were being built into a cottage, but God is building a palace of which He intends to live in.” – COAH
Was just thinking about this whole journey with God, and I was reminded that one of the most important things to keep us going on this road is this – “Reminders”.
Too quickly do we forget who God is, what He has done and what He continues to do in our lives. The more we forget, the more we despair and this just leads to a continual downward spiral.
Turning back to the very first message of ‘The End of Hypocrisy’ series on the book of James, I was reminded about the reality of trials.
Trials are a very fundamental part of our Christian journey! Not only does it reveal the authencity and the substance of our faith, but it also serves to make us complete in Christ.
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” – James 1:2-4
In moments where you feel low, and full of despair…
“When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest on His unchanging grace.” – Cornerstone
Even when you have forgotten, our God certainly has not.
